Invited Speaker----Dr. Konstantinos V. Spiliopoulos

Dr. Konstantinos Spiliopoulos is Professor of Structural Mechanics of the Institute of Structural Analysis & Antiseismic Research of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is also currently the Director of the Structural Engineering Department of the same School. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering of the NTUA and a PhD from Imperial College, Department of Aeronautics. He has published numerous articles, in top rated journals, in the field of Computational Mechanics, in various areas, such as plasticity, direct methods, limit analysis, shakedown analysis, nonlinear reinforced concrete analysis (RCA), graph theory, mathematical programming, earthquake building pounding. Work on RCA has been adopted by the ADINA software. He has served as a reviewer of more than 30 international peer-reviewed journals and as an invited lecturer in many international symposia.
